Liffey Meats Display Screens Boost Production by 5%-10%

Liffey Meats pride themselves on being able to respond quickly and efficiently to their customer”s needs and  are always looking for opportunities to use new technology to increase productivity

Liffey1As one of Ireland’s most modern and progressive beef processors, Liffey meats are situated in the centre of some of Ireland”s finest grasslands where they have built a formidable supplier base from quality assured farms which guarantee complete traceability and excellent beef.

Garth Kivlehan, of Liffey Meats explains… I’d seen that rugged screens were becoming available, I looked at a few different displays and for me, this was by far the best display option.

I made contact with Aqualite and I was sold, a few weeks later we’d ordered a 42” screen, taken delivery and installed it overlooking the production hall which specialises in beef de-boning for hind quarters”

“Having the screen works very well for us and has actually increased production; we’ve looked at the numbers and our production has increased by between 5-10% – just by installing it in our production hall. The entire facility and workforce can now, at any given time, clearly see our performance targets, it’s a great motivator!”

“As you would expect we need to ensure complete cleanliness throughout our facility, nowhere is this more important than in out butchery hall where we have the screen, so the great benefit of the Aqualite is that, along with everything else in the hall we wash it every day with high pressure washers, foamed and sanitized daily. We probably have the cleanest Aqualite screen in the county! “

“The beauty is that as the targets are displayed to everyone in the production hall (including Supervisors).  Before we had the screen, it was just Supervisors that were issued with the daily targets, who then had to communicate to our production line staff”

Digital Signange For Liffey MeatsGarth goes on to explain how it’s used….”Shown in the picture is the room temperature (top left corner). We display the time (in the top-right hand corner) the bottom left is the target number of quarters of beef required, in this case at 622 and the bottom right is the ‘actual’ number of quarters of beef being produced at that time, it shows green if we’re above target and a red light if we’re slipping below our yield target.”

“I’m now looking at the possibility of ordering more Aqualite screens,  I’m sure they’re great for outdoor TV but I do think there is much more of a market for these screens to be served as ‘total information displays’ for production facilities”

Kim Menen of Aqualite Outdoor added “It can sometimes be a challenge for companies to develop effective internal communications, the screen at Liffey Meats is a fantastic application and we”re delighted it”s being put to such productive use. It just shows how using an Aqualite screen in this environment, to monitor productivity, can have a direct effect and ultimately increase profit”

All Weather Display Screens For Stables & Equestrian Centres

Equine Vision needed a robust all weather TV display screen to show the information from it’s Yard View software which is used to manage horse racing stables and equestrian centres

Outdoor Sreens For StablesGuy Smith – Senior Technical Consultant, Equine Vision explains…

“Our unique software offers a simple web based solution designed to save time when preparing a professional looking riding-out board for your yard for the next day or for the coming days.”

“Central to the success of Yard View are outdoor weatherproof screens which is where the simplicity of Aqualite and their outdoor screens, were really able to help.”

“Our software operates using a simple ‘drag-and-drop’ system. Information is automatically transferred from our internal touchscreens connected to the exterior weatherproofed screens which means they’re available to use, all year round, 24/7.”

Guy goes on to explain…

“It’s a web-based platform which means that it’s viewable on a tablet or mobile device from anywhere in the world, so if you’re away on holiday or on a business trip you can still keep track of what’s going on at your yard.” At a glance, Yard View allows you to see all of the day-to-day running of your yard. People and daily rotas are a colour coded which is a really easy and simple process to identify them”.

Kim Menen, Managing Director of Aqualite comments…

“Yard View demonstrates very clearly another unique way that Aqualite Outdoor screens can help with the smooth running of almost any business. We think that Equine Vision’s software solution is set to revolutionise the way people think about running their stables and yard. Whether large or small, our screens can help with the day-to-day management, visitor directions, time-tables/scheduling and even local advertising. It’s a real pleasure to see!”

Sands Agricultural Fits Mobile TV Display Screen To Crop-Sprayer

Thomas Sands, Director of Sands Agricultural Machinery contacted Aqualite with a unique use for an Aqualite High Brightness LCD TV. He wanted a large screen to mount on one of his brand new Horizon agricultural crop-sprayers.

Sands Agricultural Machinery

Sands Agricultural Machinery celebrates its 40th Anniversary this year, founded in 1975 when the company introduced the very first Self-Propelled Forward Control Crop Sprayer to the UK.

In the intervening 40 years, Sands have gone on to become proud British manufacturers of high performance self-propelled crop sprayers, with ranges from 3,000-5,500 litres capacity.

All products feature unrivalled standard specifications with optional dual ride and automatic headland boom lift with Boom widths ranging from 12m – 40m.

Thomas explained further, “We worked hard on a high quality promotional video showing off our very latest machinery and its state of the art technology. We wanted the best content possible for our new screen. During the show, the new video served as a great sales tool, allowing our visitors to see our new products in a central area on our stand, allowing visitors to enjoy refreshments and talk to us at their leisure”

“I had looked in detail for the best screen for our outdoor application, and after talking to Aqualite’s Managing Director, Kim Menen, he convinced me that their screen was the one to go for. Kim went the extra mile and even explained that I could return the screen if I wasn’t completely satisfied!”

“The screen was perfect, even in some of the very bright conditions we had during the event”

“The 2015 Cereals Show was a great event for us this year” he added. “The screen was perfect, even in some of the very bright conditions we had during the event, the video that we’d worked so hard on certainly paid off. We had some excellent enquiries which we’ve followed up on with some firm orders definitely in the pipe-line.
