Digital Dispaly Screens At Chigwell School In Essex

Chigwell School in Essex installs Aqualite LED digital signage screens to manage queues in the school catering hall.

Founded in 1629 and situated on a 100-acre site in the heart of West Essex, Chigwell School is home to over 800 boys and girls from 4-18 years of age. It boasts top-class facilities across all departments from Art to Sciences and everything in between.

Food and beverage catering for such a large and diverse group of pupils no doubt has its challenges which is where the Aqualite screen comes in.

Positioned outside the school catering hall it helps to reduce queuing times by allowing the pupils to decide what they’d like for lunch whilst waiting in line.

The Standard Brightness 42” Aqualite screen is perfectly positioned under a glass roof canopy so it’s exposed to the elements but on this occasion is protected by rain and snow.

IT Technician Nathalie White has worked at Chigwell School for just over three years and apart from the screen requiring a replacement remote control, has had nothing but positive comments on the screen and its performance.

Kim Menen of Aqualite commented, “Here at Aqualite we are both proud and pleased to have supplied an outdoor screen for the school back in 2010 – which is still going strong and earning its keep.”

“Outside in all weathers, it’s a perfect application for our screen within a large educational environment, I think the pupils here are very fortunate to have this small, but helpful digital menu-board facility which helps to make their day just that little bit easier!”

The Academy of Trinity, Radstock, Somerset

Electronic Noticeboard Installation At Academy of Trinity

Aqualite Outdoor TV screens can be used for electronic noticeboards or as part of a digital signage system to manage queues or direct students and visitors in busy reception areas of schools, colleges and universities.

Trinity is a primary school based in Radstock, Somerset. It has an inclusive policy, upholding a Christian ethos and welcoming children of all faiths and denominations and those with none, equally.

The Academy of Trinity is an award winning school, achieving ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted status and it’s headteacher, Mrs Hart,  won The Pride of Britain Awards Headteacher of the Year Award in 2008.

The Academy of Trinity wanted a strong way of communicating to both students and their parents, the weekly events, achievements and photos of the school.

Trinity wanted to communicate these messages in key areas of the school including the main reception area and an outdoor area where parents would pick up their children from.

Trinity specified that they did not want to have to update each screen individually and needed a system that would be quick, easy and cost-efficient to update.

Eclipse Digital implemented a digital signage network that included one publisher box and two subscribers. One subscriber supplies content to a 42″ interior screen mounted in the main reception area of the school, while the other subscriber unit supplies content to be displayed on a weather proof, exterior 55″ Aqualite screen in the parents waiting area outside the school.

All content on the digital signage layout is customisable by the school and updated each week with the up coming events, photos from previous school events and important messages from the school.

All work for this project was designed, developed and installed by Eclipse Digital Media.
